RVI Ltd is a global leader in engine borescope inspections, headquartered at Shoreham Airport, UK. Founded in 2003 by licensed engineer David Smith (Part 66), we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate inspection services.

Since 2004, we have held approvals from UK Part 145, EASA Part 145, and the FAA Air Agency as a certified maintenance and repair organisation.

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our inspection team, focusing on engine borescope inspections.

Role Overview:

This critical role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the airworthiness of high-value assets while delivering top-tier service to our global customers.

You will perform precise borescope inspections, including defect identification, measurement, interpretation, certification (Form 1), and detailed report generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection Quality: Conduct all inspections to the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

  • Defect Analysis: Read and interpret Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs) and apply these to assess and categorise defects.

  • Reporting: Produce clear and accurate reports using RVI’s templates. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure inspections are conducted safely, considering environment, location, and access.

  • Data Management: Upload inspection videos, images, reports, and certificates to RVI’s secure cloud storage system.

  • Professional Communication: Liaise effectively with team members, management, clients, and aviation authority representatives.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years working with aircraft engines, including at least 5 years in inspections and hands-on borescope work.

  • Qualifications: Hold a UK CAA Part 66 license or equivalent engine shop approval.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of aviation maintenance regulations and authorities.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using AMMs and interpreting technical documentation.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver clear updates.

  • Attention to Detail: Analytical, thorough, and committed to precision.

  • Self-Management: Capable of working independently with flexibility and initiative.
